We are trying to get the very most out of these fleeting days of perfect fall weather, including using our grill and our fire pit as much as possible before the weather turns too cold for either.
So, I guess what I am trying to say is, we've been eating a lot of hamburgers and s'mores. And you know what? I feel pretty good about that.
If your grilling and fire pit weather has already passed, though, there is no need to fear! Turns out you can just make s'mores cookies until delicious fall rolls around again. Here's how.
Whip up some of your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough. The more homemade, the better.
Arrange marshmellows and a square of chocolate between two graham crackers, just like you do around the campfire. Divide your cookie dough into balls, and put one ball on top of your s'more, and one ball on the bottom.
Flatten the balls and seal the edges.
Bake those balls of wonderful goodness for 20-25 minutes at 325 degrees.
And then devour.
Warning: you might need a fork.
